Herbal Concoctions!!!

Hi Fellow Herb Nuts!

It is amazing the healing properties that are in the plant world around us! We are surrounded by amazing plant life that can heal and help to release us from what ails us, if we allow them to. It is quite simple to take some roots, rhizomes, flowers, leaves, berries, bark or twigs and use them for their properties to correct the imbalances that we have going on.

This is the beginning of a series called “From The Kitchen Cabinet”

This weekly blog will discuss the curative properties of herbs that you may have in your spice cabinet! Not only do they smell and taste good, but they are good for your health!

The first herb that we will start with tomorrow is CARDAMOM. So gear up to make some delicious Chai tea…that will not only taste scrumptious but will be good for you as well!

This is an exciting time.  Afya Healing Arts Center (Affordable Acupuncture and Herbs) has found a space to be able to provide low cost services to the Houston community. Located in the Third Ward Community, our goal is to provide services at a rate that working folks can afford. It has been a challenge to get the center off the ground and we need your support in order to be able to continue to provide these services at a low cost rate. We are also interested in educating the community without charging high rates.
To do this we need YOUR help! Please contribute whatever you can to help us reach our goal. Your contribution will help to cover our functioning and clerical costs, as well to cover some patients who cannot afford the cost of treatment at all.
Anyone who donates will automatically receive 25% off of any one service. Any donations of $100 or more will receive one free treatment and one bottle of herbs. Any donations of $1000 or more will receive free treatment for a month (2-3 treatments a week) and a month worth of herbs and special mention on our webpage.

Thank you for your contribution!!!
